"I'd say it's about 75 percent still to this day," said Pierre-Paul, who underwent back surgery in the offseason, per The Star-Ledger. "I don't have time to rest. I can't rehab it that much or I'll fatigue it."
The defensive end said he regretted not having surgery directly after the Giants' 2012 season ended. Instead, he tried rehab. But once the offseason workload ramped up and his back continued to suffer, he ultimately decided to have surgery.
Pierre-Paul said that, while he won't be at full strength this season, other teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday, shouldn't be foolish enough to think he'll be diminished on the field.
"Don't be too stupid leaving me one on one with a guy," JPP said. "You will be stupid leaving me one on one all game with a person."
