Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano isn't fretting about his team's 0-6 start to the season.
"We'll win our share (of games), don't worry," Schiano said Wednesday morning on NFL Network's "NFL AM."
The Bucs coach reiterated that he didn't watch former quarterback Josh Freeman's performance on "Monday Night Football" and said the organization is pleased with new starter Mike Glennon's progress.
Schiano said the confidence that his team will turn around the season stems from the leadership in the locker room.
"We have good coaches; the relationship with the players is strong," Schiano said. "When you have tough times that's what you rely upon, that is the backbone of your program. We got some bumps and bruises, but we got a good football team. We are going to win our share of games. We just got to get the worm to turn."
It's an interesting comment for an embattled coach who reportedly has been close to losing his locker room and whose coaching style has been the subject of a players-only meeting.
If the "worm" doesn't turn soon for the Bucs, that backbone Schiano cites could deteriorate completely, which might cause management to consider a bakiatomy.
