Nick Foles exits Eagles' loss; Matt Barkley finishes tilt

The quarterback "controversy" in Philadelphia is over before it started. Nick Foles struggled badly Sunday for three-plus quarters against the Dallas Cowboys, before leaving to be evaluated for a head injury.

The Cowboys hit Foles hard while sacking him in the red zone. Matt Barkley replaced Foles for the rest of the game, which the Eagles lost 17-3.

Foles appeared to be battling a groin injury for much of the contest before his departure. He was inaccurate and made poor decisions while completing 11 of 29 passes for just 80 yards.

Michael Vick has missed the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. Foles' injury could hasten Vick's return.
