Cincinnati Bengals' Leon Hall might have torn Achilles

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall made a nice defensive play in the end zone Sunday against Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Unfortunately, Hall injured his right Achilles tendon on the first-quarter pass breakup.

The Bengals believe Hall has a torn Achilles, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday, per a source who has spoken to the player. Hall will undergo more tests Monday to determine the severity of the injury, Rapoport added. A torn Achilles would end Hall's season.

The veteran corner missed the end of the 2011 season after tearing his left Achilles tendon Nov. 13, 2011. He already had been dealing with a hamstring injury this season.

The loss is a big one for a Bengals secondary that has been hobbled with injuries throughout the early portion of the season.
