Terrell Suggs returning to form for Baltimore Ravens

The sun is shining brightly upon the campus of Ball So Hard University.

Terrell Suggs is back in a big way for the Baltimore Ravens. The veteran linebacker is healthy and playing like a man possessed. Or more specifically, a man with his sights set on another Defensive Player of the Year award.

Suggs hadthreesacks Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, all coming in the fourth quarter of a 26-23 win. That gave Suggs seven on the season and at least one in each game. That's a franchise record.

"Man, he's a beast," strong safety James Ihedigbo said, via The Baltimore Sun. "I told him, 'I'm glad you're on my team.' That's Defensive Player of the Year Suggs right there. Three sacks in one quarter, you got to be kidding me."

Suggs missed half of last season with a partially torn Achilles tendon, then suffered a torn biceps muscle that limited him further. Though he had some moments in the postseason, he wasn't close to the player who took DPOY honors in 2011.

He's all the way back now, playing some of the best football of his career at the age of 30. The Ravens' defense in 2013 is far superior to the defense that won a title in February. A lot of that goes back to a healthy Terrell Suggs.
