NFL to meet with group to discuss Redskins team name

Adolpho Birch, the NFL senior vice president of labor policy and government affairs, has set up a meeting with Peter Carmen, the COO of the Oneida Nation Homelands, to discuss the group's desire to change the Washington Redskins team name, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

The meeting, tentatively set for Nov. 22, will be held at the NFL office. Oneida Nation had a symposium on the topic Monday.

The discussion on the Redskins' team name has been a hot topic as of late with President Barack Obama weighing in on the issue in an interview with The Associated Press.
