Darnell Dockett will quit social media if Florida State loses

Darnell Dockett's social media future will be on the line Saturday when Florida State, his alma mater, plays host to Maryland in a battle of unbeaten ACC teams.

A tweet from the never-at-a-loss-for-words Dockett on Wednesday:

Florida State is a big favorite in the game, which kicks off at noon Saturday on ESPN. The Seminoles have won six in a row and 21 of 23 in the "rivalry." The past three wins have come by a combined 66 points.

Dockett had a well-publicized Twitter "feud" with Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron earlier this year over tweets he made about Katherine Webb, McCarron's girlfriend at the time. Included was an exchange in which Dockett asked McCarron to box and called him a "sissy boy." McCarron responded by pointing out he was in college and already had more championship rings than Dockett, and chided Dockett for spending time in strip clubs.

As for Dockett's pledge to end his social media activities should FSU lose, it's hard to see a guy with that big an ego actually following through on that kind of threat.
