Johnny Football did it again.
Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel set a season-high in rushing yardage with 102 on just 12 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns in a 42-13 win over Southern Methodist on Saturday.
Manziel's passing numbers were nothing close to the 464 yards he tallied against Alabama last week, but in a game in which he was removed from early because of the lopsided score, it was strong enough: 14 of 21 for 244 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
By the half, Manziel was on a 400-yard passing pace, having completed 13 of 20 for 212. He scored on two 7-yard runs, and his touchdown pass came from 16 yards out to receiver Malcome Kennedy.
This performance comes on the heels of his record-setting performance in a loss to Alabama last week, in which Manziel amassed 562 yards of total offense. The defending Heisman Trophy winner has been dominant in all four of his appearances this season, though the first one against Rice was abbreviated by a first-half suspension.
With his 346 yards of total offense against the Mustangs, Manziel now has 1,483 yards of total offense for the season in roughly 12 quarters of action. Manziel plays his first road game of the season next week at Arkansas.
