Chris Clemons returning to make 2013 Seahawks debut

The Seattle Seahawks aren't exactly rolling out the red carpet for former defensive coordinator Gus Bradley's return to the Emerald City.

One week after shutting down fellow NFC West superpower San Francisco 49ers with an injury-depleted defense, the Seahawks welcome back "Leo" defensive end Chris Clemons and cornerback Brandon Browner.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed via the team's official website Friday that Clemons will make his 2013 debut on Sunday versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Clemons has been Seattle's leading pass rusher in each of the past three seasons, racking up 33.5 sacks over that period. He's now eight months and two weeks removed from tearing his ACL and meniscus in the Seahawks' playoff victory over the Washington Redskins.

Expect the 31-year-old to be eased in, with new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn using a rotation of Clemons, Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril.

Once the Seahawks get Bruce Irvin back from suspension in Week 5, this will be one of the most ferocious pass rushes in the league.
