Andrew Luck: I feel like Colts' 'scrub rookie'

Andrew Luck isn't your average rookie.

The No. 1 overall draft pick in April, Luck has been heralded as the most NFL-ready quarterback since Peyton Manning, his predecessor with the Indianapolis Colts.

Praise came from all corners in Luck's first week of practices, ranging from Tony Dungy to Reggie Wayne to Adam Vinatieri.

"It's always very nice when two guys of such high caliber (Dungy and Vinatieri) say those things, but I feel like a scrub rookie every day, so far," Luck said, via The Associated Press.

Luck was charted by reporters at 122-of-162 passing with seven touchdowns and five interceptions in Colts team drills in his first week. He had a simple evaluation of his performance.

"Too many interceptions," he said.

Luck, by all accounts, is being hard on himself. He has shown an impressive grasp of the Colts' playbook and has more than held his own in 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. Luck won't be perfect this season, but he doesn't have to be on the rebuilding Colts.
