Kenny Britt's workouts intensify for Tennessee Titans

Kenny Britt's rehab appears to be moving in a positive direction following three knee surgeries over the past 10 months.

Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak said Sunday the team will increase the intensity of Britt's workouts in the next week, according to The Tennessean.

"He is doing good. We have him on a great program ... and he has responded to it," Munchak said. "He is running hard and next week he'll start doing more things and running. But we are happy with where he's at."

The wide receiver missed most of last season after tearing the anterior crucaite ligament and and medial collateral ligament in his right knee. He had a procedure on his left knee in June.

"He is progressing as well or better than we hoped," Munchak said. "Now it is just a matter of how quickly over the next two weeks when he starts doing more cutting and changing of direction, how he'll respond to that."

Though this qualifies as good news, Britt's immediate future remains muddled. He's currently on the Titans' physically unable to perform list, and Munchak said Britt could be on a "pitch count" early in the season. He also faces possible suspension for a DUI arrest in the offseason.
