San Francisco 49ers' Vernon Davis injures hamstring

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis left Sunday night's game against the Seattle Seahawks with a hamstring injury and will not return, the team announced.

Davis was hurt going for a long pass that was intercepted by Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

The highly anticipated NFC West showdown was suspended with 3:13 left in the first quarter because of lightning in the area. The game resumed at 10:05 p.m. ET.
