Heavy rains postpone Fresno State-Colorado game

Colorado's home game against Fresno State on Saturday has been postponed because of heavy rains and flash floods that have ravaged the state, the school announced Friday.

At least three people have been killed by the intense storms. Four thousand residents of Boulder were evacuated, with another 4,000 put on alert to be ready to leave their homes at a moments notice, the New York Times reported.

There is a possibility the game could not be rescheduled as the Bulldogs and Buffaloes do not share an open date until Dec. 7, the last day of the 2013 college football season. With a dynamic offense led by quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Davante Adams, Fresno State could well be playing in the inaugural Mountain West Conference championship game that day.
