Should Robert Griffin III be playing right now? Marshall Faulk doesn't believe so.
Faulk said Thursday on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access Kickoff" that the Washington Redskins quarterback isn't back to his elite level yet.
"When you look at what makes him dynamic, it's his ability to run the ball and throw the ball," Faulk said. "You take away his ability to run, and now he's just like every other quarterback."
Griffin spent about eight months recovering from a torn ACL sustained in a playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Griffin returned to full-speed football in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles. But Griffin's play was uneven, and the Redskins lost 33-27.
It wasn't what Redskins fans had hoped for after Griffin's strong rookie season.
"Although, there was a little rust on him," Faulk said, "I think that he's not ready to be out there."
