Jermichael Finley, Josh Sitton back at Packers practice

Jermichael Finley surprisingly missed practice Wednesday because of an injured toe. That led to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport revealing that the Green Bay Packers tight end flew to Minnesota for treatment earlier this week.

That's the bad news for Finley and the Packers. The good news: Finley returned to practice Thursday, along with Pro Bowl guard Josh Sitton. Finley officially was "limited" on the injury report, but his increased activity is a great sign for his availability this Sunday against the Washington Redskins.

Then again, practicing during the week isn't a guarantee that a player will suit up. Packers safety Morgan Burnett (hamstring) practiced last week, but his injury flared up during sessions. Burnett wound up missing Week 1, but he's practicing again in advance of the matchup against Washington.

Every year, it seems like two playoff teams from the previous season face off in Week 2, trying to avoid an 0-2 start. Packers-Redskins is just that game this year.
