Fashion Royalty Helps Bring Football and Fashion Together with Everyday Style

New York (Aug. 5, 2013) - With Super Bowl XLVIII and all its festivities coming to America's fashion capital, National Football League (NFL) Women's Apparel is preparing to redefine fashion by bridging trendsetting everyday looks with the game of football. To inspire women to show their passion for their favorite teams and for the game in a stylish way, NFL Women's Apparel will unveil its newest advertising campaign showcasing many of the fashion-forward apparel and accessories available for NFL fans.

"The NFL is thrilled to give our female fans more ways to marry their fandom with their style," said Rhiannon Madden, the NFL's Director of Apparel. "With new offerings that combine team pride and aesthetics, our female fans can truly express their individual personality through unique looks - everything from game day chic to touchdown glam."

NFL Women's Apparel is celebrating the 2013 season with a series of activities and collaborations that female fans may use to enhance their style playbook during game day and beyond.

Phillip Bloch Named Creative Fashion Director

NFL Women's Apparel has officially named Celebrity Stylist, Phillip Bloch, Creative Fashion Director for the 2013 season.

"Even though football seasons come and go, your NFL style doesn't have to," mentioned Bloch. "Whether you're sporting team pride at the office, hitting the game with fashionable flare, or somewhere in between, I've combed the runways, magazines and trend reports to track down the top must-do's that you (and your wardrobe!) need to know about, all the while keeping in mind the most fashion-forward pieces that will lend themselves to game day and every day."

Bloch offers his top three tips for staying on-trend this season and beyond:

Grunge revival. The spirit of the 90's is being remolded today with the reintroduction of plaids and irreverent prints. But if you're wishing to take on that 'tough girl' approach, try sporting something off your shoulder for that added punk vibe, like the NFL Women's Apparel Holey Sweatshirt in your favorite team's design.

Go Cozy Chic. Lazy game day Sundays don't mean you need to look like you feel. Clean up by slipping into something cozy, but haute, like the Burnout Long-Sleeve Thermal from TOUCH by Alyssa Milano or NFL Women's Apparel Lounge Pants which proudly display their your favorite team in vintage form.

Make a statement. With pailettes and sequins everywhere, purchase one novelty piece with a distinct edge that lets you stand out year-round. Try the Sparkle Team Color Clean Up Hat from '47 Brand - it makes for a simple, yet bold statement piece that easily infuses fun and fandom within a daily accessory you're already sporting.

Fashionably Fierce Ad Campaign

For ladies wanting to look their best, NFL Women's Apparel partnered with fashion and luxury advertising agency, AR New York and world-renowned photographer, Patrick Demarchelier to visually bring to life fashionable 'looks' for the 2013 season.

"The NFL Women's Apparel campaign harnesses the passion of the fans and extends the excitement to inspire women to wear the collection every day, not just on game day," says Raul Martinez, Chief Creative Officer at AR New York.

The shoot, held earlier this summer at Milk Gallery Studio, included an array of talent who will appear in the campaign including super model Karolina Kurkova, DJ Kiss, AJ Solvani and women of the NFL family - Charlotte Jones Anderson, Tavia Hunt, Suzanne Johnson and Tanya Snyder. Ads will appear in several magazines - including Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, SELF, Us Weekly, Vogue and more - which will begin hitting stands on August 5th.

Designer licensees also contributed to the campaign with their new products, including Stacy Keibler, who was recently named Design Partner for Meesh & Mia, an official licensee of the NFL. Keibler will not only release her own fashion line for the brand this fall, she will also be designing NFL-centric apparel for women seeking to intersect football and fashion.

"I am extremely excited to work with Meesh & Mia and NFL Women's Apparel, as I've always wanted to be involved in designing trendy apparel for avid female sports fans and the team market," said Keibler. "Due to my combined passion for football and fashion, I believe that this joint venture aligns perfectly with the brand's profile and I am honored to partake in this project."

NFL Unleashes 'Style Lounges' at Stadiums Nationwide

Throughout the 2013 season, NFL Women's Apparel also will be hosting a series of 'Style Lounges' at select stadiums nationwide during game days. These pop-up events will continue to build on the successful Lounges from 2011 and 2012 and will help fans to experience the NFL in a way they never have before - with activities that demonstrate the unique, customizable style of NFL Women's Apparel. Fans will have the opportunity to shop for the newest gear made just for women, talk to a professional stylist about how to create their own team look, listen to music by an on-site DJ, enjoy complimentary team manicures and more. Information surrounding the dates and location of NFL Style Lounges can be found online at www.NFLShop.com/NFLStyleLounge.

NFL Gets 'Savvy' with Marie Claire

For the first time, NFL Women's Apparel collaborated with Marie Claire magazine on a special 16-page publication called "The Savvy Girl's Guide to Football," which will be bundled with every copy of the magazine's September issue. The one-of-a-kind "Guide" aims to provide an A-to-Z playbook for rookies, homegaters and avid fans of the game.
