Pete Carroll and Steve Sarkisian still get along splendidly.
Sarkisian was an assistant under Carroll at USC for seven years during two different stints. After Sarkisian took the head-coaching job at Washington, Carroll was kind enough to spot his protégé the Huskies' first signature win. And since Carroll relocated to the Pacific Northwest after the 2009 season, the two have continued to be close, with the Seattle Seahawks even hosting Washington home games last season as Husky Stadium was renovated.
Carroll opened his other football home to Sarkisian on Thursday, as Washington visited the Seahawks' Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton for practice.
It offered Washington the chance to practice on a grass field, ahead of four road games on natural turf this season including a Sept. 14 visit to Soldier Field to face Illinois.
Assistant coach Tosh Lupoi took to Instagram to document the proceedings.
