Hawaii has parted ways with offensive coordinator Aaron Price one day before the Warriors are set to begin preparations for the 2013 season, the school announced Friday.
"It was a difficult decision to make," head coach Norm Chow said in a statement. "The timing is unfortunate as we begin fall camp. Some issues have arisen and we've decided to move forward without Aaron."
The loss of Price should not have a major effect on Hawaii's offense, as Chow calls the plays. Entering his second season at Hawaii, Chow rose to national prominence as an offensive mastermind at BYU and USC, tutoring quarterbacks Steve Young, Philip Rivers and Carson Palmer among many others.
Price was hired in February from UTEP, where he held the same position for the past five season under his father Mike, and was set to coach wide receivers.
Those duties will be split among Chow and graduate assistants Jordan Wynn and Luke Matthews, Hawaii News Now reported.
Hawaii has already removed Price's biography from the team's website.
