A.J. Green out for Cincinnati Bengals with knee bruise

Breathe easy, Cincinnati.

One day after A.J. Green awkwardly fell during a Bengals training-camp practice Thursday, coach Marvin Lewis confirmed his star wide receiver is in the clear.

"A.J. has a knee bruise," Lewis told the Bengals' official website Friday. "We'll keep him out through the weekend and then we'll go from there."

Green went down after battling with Terence Newman for a deep ball from Andy Dalton. The third-year pro walked off the field after being examined on the ground by trainers.

We aren't tracking every nick and bruise from camp, but when someone the caliber of Green has a scare, it's noteworthy.

As you were, Bengals.
