Defensive tackle Sylvester Williams missed the first practice of his first NFL training camp. He won't miss the second.
The Denver Broncos announced Thursday that they had signed Williams, the No. 28 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. The Broncos didn't disclose terms, but The Associated Press reported that Williams received a four-year, $7.6 million contract with a $3.9 million signing bonus and another $2.2 million guaranteed.
Williams, a North Carolina product, has a nice mix of run-stopping ability and pass-rush skills. He has a great chance to start right away.
With Williams under contract, just four 2013 first-round draft picks remain unsigned: Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Eric Fisher, New York Jets cornerback Dee Milliner, Tennessee Titans guard Chance Warmack and Arizona Cardinals guard Jonathan Cooper.Follow Gregg Rosenthal on Twitter @greggrosenthal.
