Jordan Rodgers, brother of Aaron, released by Jaguars

Jordan Rodgers' attempt to make the Jacksonville Jaguars was short-lived. The team announced Monday that they waived the Vanderbilt product, whose brother just so happens to be a great quarterback.

It's a tough blow for Jordan, who had to undergo sports hernia surgery in May. If nothing else, he can look to his elder sibling, Aaron Rodgers, for inspiration.

It was around this time during Aaron Rodgers' rookie development that folks were writing that the Green Bay Packers were concerned with Rodgers' development as a rookie. (He was battling Craig Nall for the team's backup job.) Jordan figures to get another shot somewhere once he's healthy.
