Browns coach Rob Chudzinski told reporters Monday that Richardson reported last week to pre-camp with rookies and other players coming off injuries. Chudzinski said Richardson is practicing full-go, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
"Richardson has been full-go," Chudzinski went on to say. "He's been practicing these last few days and looks good."
It had been previously reported the Browns were being "ultra-cautious" with their starting running back, who missed the bulk of the team's offseason program because of a strained muscle in his shin. ESPNCleveland.com reported the Browns might hold Richardson out of action until August, though Chudzinski said at the time Richardson would be ready for camp.
That statement turned out to be accurate. If Richardson indeed is a "full-go" and not limited in any way, it tells us the Browns are sufficiently confident the shin no longer is an issue. Given Richardson's early-career injury woes, skepticism remains.
