The Tampa Bay Buccaneers washed their hands of Eric Wright on Friday, trading the cornerback to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a conditional 2014 late-round draft pick.
Wright did his best to book himself out of town, as poor play, a driving under the influence arrest, suspension for performance-enhancing drug use and, finally, a second arrest greased the skids for his exit after one disappointing season.
At least one prominent veteran teammate was unhappy with the Bucs' decision.
I can't believe this trade and I'm just gonna leave it at that smfh

As a Pro Bowl offensive tackle and six-year veteran, Donald Penn figures to have a voice in the Bucs' locker room. Don't be surprised if Bucs coach Greg Schiano tells Penn to keep it down when players report to training camp.
UPDATE: Penn followed up his remarks on Twitter with praise for Bucs general manager Mark Dominik.
My hat is off 2 Mark n the front office cuz they could of just cut him but at least they traded him so he can have another opportunity 2play
