San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Brown missed the entire 2012 NFL season with a broken ankle after showing flashes of talent as a rookie, particularly in a five-catch, 97-yard performance against the Oakland Raiders.
New coach Mike McCoy expects Brown to be "without a doubt" a big part of his offense this season.
"He's been great," McCoy said, via the team's official website. "We laid out a plan for him early on, and he's one of those kids who want to go full speed, 100 miles per hour every play."
Brown was so "outstanding" as the team's best route runner and most versatile receiver in last year's training camp that the previous coaching staff reportedly planned to make him the focal point of the passing attack. Don't be surprised if Brown relegates Floyd to a bench role by the beginning of the regular season.
