Anquan Boldin, one of the key contributors on the Baltimore Ravens team that won Super Bowl XLVII, will miss Wednesday's gathering with President Barack Obama at the White House.

The wide receiver was traded to the San Francisco 49ers this offseason and will be unavailable because of his new club's organized team activities. He'll also miss the Ravens' ring ceremony Friday.

Boldin expressed his regret, via Twitter, on Monday.

Despite leading Ravens receivers in 2012 with 65 receptions and 921 yards, Boldin was traded to the team the Ravens defeated in the Super Bowl in exchange for a 2013 sixth-round draft pick. Boldin especially was effective in the playoffs, grabbing 22 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns in four games. He posted six catches for 104 yards and one touchdown in Super Bowl XLVII.

Safety Bernard Pollard, who was released by the Ravens before signing with the Tennessee Titans, will sit out the ceremony because he doesn't "want to be in the room with certain people."
