Michael Vick 'noticeably bigger' for Chip Kelly's Eagles

Late last season, we thought Michael Vick's career with the Philadelphia Eagles was over. Fast forward five months, and Vick has been given an incredible opportunity to turn his career around in an offensive system that just might suit his skill set.

Brooks: Perfect fit for Philadelphia

He might not make an immediate impact, but Matt Barkley will be a nice fit for the Eagles, Bucky Brooks writes. **More ...**

Vick seems to know what a great chance this is, too. Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer notes that Vick's "motivation" this year can't be overstated.

"(Vick's) noticeably bigger and enthused about the offense," Berman writes.

Vick has spoken plenty that he ran less last season by design. Now he's in an offense that should play to his strengths (mobility) with a vastly improved, healthier offensive line. He took the first snaps of organized team activities and remains the heavy favorite to start for the Eagles in Week 1 because of his experience and his contract.

Perhaps this is all just offseason fluff, designed to make us think Vick has "turned a corner." But he's a quarterback whose play and motivation has ebbed and flowed throughout his career. Chip Kelly gives Vick one last chance for a big NFL moment, and Vick seems to know it.
