Cliff Harris, ex-New York Jets player, arrested again

We don't normally post about arrests from players who aren't in the NFL. But Cliff Harris, whom the New York Jets released just over a week ago, has been in the news too much to ignore.

Harris was arrested for the third time in nine days, according to KPTV-TV in Oregon. This time, he was arrested Tuesday on the charge of failing to appear. Harris was on his way to an 8:30 a.m. court appearance when he was stopped for speeding -- an infraction that wound up making him more than 90 minutes late.

Hillsboro, Ore., police arrested Harris on Friday night on a domestic harassment charge. He allegedly had an argument and fight with his girlfriend in the parking lot of a Buffalo Wild Wings.

The Jets cut Harris last week after he was arrested in New Jersey on a possession of marijuana charge. It's hard to imagine the former University of Oregon cornerback ever getting another shot in the NFL.
