Eddie Lacy has moved past his disappointing pro day.
The Alabama star running back has said he wasn't physically ready to participate, and it showed in his performance. The question is whether an underwhelming workout will carry more weight than his final season with the Crimson Tide.
Lacy acknowledged on Wednesday that the criticism has bothered him.
"It's very tough. You hear a lot of things," Lacy told WQXI-AM (via SportsRadioInterviews.com). "People saying 'he's not in shape' or 'he's not fast.' But in reality it's due to a lack of time. It's something you can't really worry about.
"You know what you are capable of when you're 100 percent and the guys doubting you on the next level know as well. I don't think it should be said or anything like that but there is nothing you can do about it."
Lacy seems to have an idea which teams are in play for his services.
"We have an idea but out of respect for those organizations we are not going to name specifics," he said. "We have a few teams in mind. But on draft day you never know what could happen so all we can do at the end of the day is sit back and wait to see when I'm called."
