"I feel like I haven't gotten the truth (from the Jets)," Revis told Newsday, the New York Daily News and the New York Post on Monday. "Anybody who tells you, 'You're going to be a Jet,' but what's the truth? ... Definitely I feel like I haven't gotten the truth."
"I know it's a lie," Revis said, via Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Revis insisted that he wanted to remain a Jet, but the team never approached him about a long-term contract. (The Jets tell a different story.) It's clear Revis has a bigger problem with Jets owner Woody Johnson and Idzik than with coach Rex Ryan.
"Woody (didn't) want to talk to me. He stayed as far away as he could. ... As a friend, I feel for Rex. He played a big part in my career. I feel for him," Revis said.
Ryan always talked up Revis as the best cornerback in the NFL. If that's the case, picking off Mark Sanchez in Week 1 should be no problem.Follow Gregg Rosenthal on Twitter @greggrosenthal.
