NFL to release 2013 regular-season schedule Thursday

Fear not, friends, the NFL schedule will become public knowledge later this week.

League spokesman Greg Aiello announced Tuesday that the NFL's 2013 regular-season slate of games will be announced on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.

NFL.com and NFL Network's "Schedule Release '13" programming simultaneously will reveal this year's lineup.

We know for certain that the Baltimore Ravens will, indeed, open their 2013 campaign on the road in the NFL's kickoff game. We also have a list of each team's home and away opponents, but the fun behind the schedule release is discovering who your favorite team opens and closes with -- and where critical division matchups fall.

We'll also find out Thursday how the NFL has designed its season-long lineup of Sunday, Monday and Thursday night primetime affairs.

We'll cover all that and more right here on NFL Network and NFL.com.
