Cleveland Browns 2013 first-round mock draft

How analysts are projecting the first-round picks for the Cleveland Browns in the 2013 NFL Draft:

Matt "Money" Smith

No. 6: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

Talk about fortunate. The best corner slips past Philly, past Detroit and right into Cleveland's lap. Paired with Joe Haden to create one of the league's best cornerback duos, Milliner is a great match for the Browns.

Charles Davis

No. 6: Ziggy Ansah, DE, BYU

Cleveland needs a pass rusher, and new DC Ray Horton will not overload the extremely talented -- and extremely raw -- youngster who originally hails from Ghana. Horton will know what to do: Point "Ziggy" in the direction of opposing QBs.

Daniel Jeremiah

No. 6: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

I expect the Browns to bail out of this pick if one of the top three offensive tackles is still on the board. However, if they can't move back, Milliner would fill a huge void opposite rising star Joe Haden.

Bucky Brooks

No. 6: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

The Browns desperately need a quality cover corner to pair with Joe Haden on the perimeter. Milliner, who has the size, speed and athleticism to blanket top receivers in space, is the premier cornerback in the 2013 class.

Akbar Gbajabiamila

No. 6: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

The Browns' secondary gave up its share of big plays; Cleveland needs to firm up the cornerback position opposite Joe Haden. A combo of Milliner and Haden would complement the skills of new pass rusher Paul Kruger.

Gil Brandt

No. 6: Ziggy Ansah, DE, BYU

The Browns are looking for a pass rusher and Ansah is one of the best in the draft. BYU hasn't had its pro day yet, but at the combine, Ansah showed he can drop into space or keep his hand on the ground, taking part in both defensive end and linebacker drills. Considering how little football experience he has, Ansah kind of shocked everyone with how well he performed. The Browns could also take a quarterback here.

Charley Casserly

No. 6: Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

A nice bookend opposite Joe Haden at cornerback for the Browns.
» Full mock draft

Josh Norris

No. 6: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

The Browns certainly filled a variety of needs in their front seven via free agency, but they still could use an additional pass rusher. I also won't be shocked if they opt for a cornerback or look to trade down.
