How NFL.com analysts are projecting the first-round picks for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2013 NFL Draft:

Matt "Money" Smith

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

New coach Gus Bradley comes from Seattle. Just last year, we all suggested the Seahawks reached with their first-round pick when they selected Bruce Irvin, a one-dimensional, undersized pass rusher. Though he might not have gaudy sack numbers, Dion Jordan is a top-notch athlete. Pop in that tape against Washington from a couple years back and let your mind wander.

Charles Davis

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

Recent speculation had the Jaguars taking QB Geno Smith, but I'm sensing new GM David Caldwell will opt for the athletic Jordan, and count on him to provide consistent edge pressure.

Daniel Jeremiah

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

I'm sure the Jaguars will strongly consider Geno Smith, but I have them addressing their anemic pass rush with this selection. Look for them to target a quarterback at the top of the second round.

Bucky Brooks

No. 2: Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia

General manager David Caldwell could declare the Blaine Gabbert experiment an epic disaster by selecting Smith as the new face of the franchise.

Akbar Gbajabiamila

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

New head coach Gus Bradley is a defensive-minded coach who appreciates a pass-rush artist like Jordan. Given Jordan's versatility, the Jaguars could put him in position to make plays in multiple ways.

Gil Brandt

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

Recent shoulder surgery will keep Jordan from doing any more pre-draft workouts, though medical reports are said to be very good. One thing you have to give him a lot of credit for: He did not shy away from working out at the NFL Scouting Combine, even though he had a ready-made excuse in the form of a torn labrum.

Charley Casserly

No. 2: Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon

Helps solve an annual problem in Jacksonville: a weak pass rush. The Jaguars finished dead last in the NFL with 20 sacks last season.

Josh Norris

No. 2: Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU

There are three possible "Leo" selections here, but I'll take Mingo, since I think he will be the apple of Gus Bradley's eye.
