Leon Sandcastle will be drafted No. 1 overall by Chiefs

The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock.

In a move that would have seemed stunning months ago and yet was predictable by now, the Kansas City Chiefs announced Monday that they will be drafting cornerback Leon Sandcastle with the top overall pick of the 2013 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs have greater needs at tackle and throughout their offense, but they just couldn't turn down the opportunity to bring aboard that afro and terrible facial hair (coach Andy Reid just can't stop gushing.)

Sandcastle's rise up the boards arrived faster than a Rich Eisen 40-yard dash time.

Unknown a few months ago, Sandcastle already has been stamped with legendary status. Sandcastle will be the player to be featured in NFL Network's award-winning program "A Football Life" before actually embarking on his professional "football life."

That show will air at a later date, but a trailer already is available above.

Sandcastle also will sit down with NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano for an in-depth, one-on-one interview for "NFL Total Access" on Monday.

Sandcastle will discuss the critics who say he might be the next JaMarcus Russell, a No. 1 overall draft pick with great measurables who is ill-equipped to live up to the hype.
