It wasn't so long ago that Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei was viewed as a potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. On Wednesday, he can take a big step toward getting back in the conversation.
Lotulelei will participate in Utah's pro day after being cleared medically following a scare at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was not allowed to participate in Indianapolis because he required additional tests after being flagged for having a heart condition.

In the meantime, Lotulelei continued training and passed all medical tests. Team doctors surely will study Lotulelei closely, but he's been cleared to do everything on the field. Utah announced Lotulelei will not participate in media interviews after pro day. His agent said Lotulelei is meeting with NFL teams immediately after his workout.
NFL.com's Akbar Gbajabiamila believes Lotulelei is expected to participate in everything except the 40-yard dash on Wednesday. It has been reported that the Philadelphia Eagles, among other teams, will work him out privately at a later date.
Florida's Sharrif Floyd has become a trendy potential No. 1 pick in mock drafts because it's easy to see the Kansas City Chiefs taking an interior defensive lineman. Don't be shocked if Lotulelei gets in the mix, too, if he has a strong pro day.
