The Cincinnati Bengals are working on hanging onto their own players.
On Sunday, the team locked up defensive end Wallace Gilberry with a 3-year, $6.75M deal, according to a source who has seen the contract.
Gilberry played in 14 games for the Bengals last season, his first in Cincinnati, registering 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Gilberry tweeted his satisfaction with the agreement:
Feels good to look in the mirror and know that the hard work has paid off and that theres still hope for us #underdogs— Wallace Gilberry (@Gilberry92) March 11, 2013
