On Sunday, the team locked up defensive end Wallace Gilberry with a 3-year, $6.75M deal, according to a source who has seen the contract.
Gilberry played in 14 games for the Bengals last season, his first in Cincinnati, registering 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble.
Before joining the Bengals, Gilberry was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Sept. 2012. He spent four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after going undrafted in 2008.
Gilberry tweeted his satisfaction with the agreement:
Feels good to look in the mirror and know that the hard work has paid off and that theres still hope for us #underdogs
