KFVS-TV reported that Webb was arrested Sunday evening in Pulaski County, Ill., and charged with possession of a controlled substance, cannabis and paraphernalia. Pulaski County Sheriff Randy Kern said Webb paid $500 of a $5,000 bond Monday and was released. His court date is scheduled for sometime in March.

The Bears released a statement on the matter Wednesday.

"We are aware of the recent arrest of J'Marcus Webb in Pulaski County Illinois," the statement read. "We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the arrest."

Webb was a 16-game starter in his second season with the Bears, protecting Jay Cutler's blindside at left tackle. Webb entered the national news cycle in September, when he was yelled at and bumped by Cutler during a Thursday night loss to the Green Bay Packers.
