Barkevious Mingo, Sam Montgomery bet $5K on draft

INDIANAPOLIS -- There was one media member who seemed to have a particular interest in Barkevious Mingo on Saturday.

The LSU defensive end held his interview session late in the afternoon, and the largest reporter in the room sat three rows back wearing shorts and a sleeveless Under Armour shirt. The man was his Tigers teammate and fellow defensive end Sam Montgomery, who's also participating in the NFL Scouting Combine.

Mingo revealed the two have bet who will be drafted first. The loser has to cough up $5,000 and physically wash the other's car.

"I'm pretty confident in myself," Mingo said. "He's going to be coming out of some money on that one. And I get a car wash."

Apparently, the two have been making bets all season. Mingo claimed he's already owed a car wash from a previous bet. Montgomery said he won a $1,000 bet for most sacks during the season and $500 for most sacks in the final game.

Montgomery dead-panned two questions before Mingo was afforded the opportunity to ask a question himself.

"Why are you here?!" Mingo said. "Go home. Go eat."
