Cleveland Browns open to trading Brandon Weeden?

INDIANAPOLIS -- New Cleveland Browns coach Rob Chudzinski and general manager Michael Lombardi have spent time looking at quarterback Brandon Weeden's 2012 game film. It sure doesn't sound like they are ready to commit to him.

Chudzinski indicated Friday at the NFL Scouting Combine that the Brownswould be open to trading Weeden and backup QB Colt McCoy.

"We're looking to improve our team in any areas, by any means of doing that," Chudzinski said, via The Plain Dealer.

Weeden is a second-year pro. It's not too often you hear a head coach entertain the thoughts of trading a second-year pro.

The Browns made it clear they aren't willing to commit to Weeden as a starter. There will be competition, and we'd guess it will include an NFL veteran to be named later.
