Maurkice Pouncey wants Ravens to win Super Bowl

It sounds blasphemous to hear that a Pittsburgh Steeler would root for the rival Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl.

However, that is exactly what Steelers center Maurkice Pounceytold the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Mark Kaboly he plans to do.

"I am rooting for Ray Lewis," Pouncey said from the Pro Bowl. "He is from my hometown (both attended high schools in Lakeland, Fla.). If he would be able to go out on top, it would be great for our city."

The Ravens-Steelers rivalry has become the most intense and entertaining in the NFL during Lewis' career. And while fans from the respective cities might feel differently, Pouncey's comments are just one more example of how Lewis' legacy transcends the sport.
