Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams told Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman, "I'm gonna punch you in yo' (expletive) face," during a postgame dust up last week. Then he used an open hand to shove Sherman in the face.
The NFL has fined Williams $7,875 for the incident.
That's a lot of dough for a push. Not a punch with a closed fist, but a shove that had so little force that Sherman started laughing.
The funny part is if Williams did the same during the game and not afterward, he probably wouldn't have been flagged or fined. But the league can't have guys putting their hands on others after the game. So $7,875 it is ...
