Trent Williams told Richard Sherman he'd punch him

We have yet more evidence from the Richard Sherman-Trent Williams postgame tete-a-tete that led to a surprise face shove and plenty of angry words.

KCPQ-TV in Seattle, via USA Today, had Sherman mic'd up for the Seattle Seahawks' wild-card win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Footage shows the cornerback first approach Redskins defensive lineman Kedric Golston. "Hell of a game, boy," Sherman says. "Way to work out there."

Then comes Williams, Washington's behemoth left tackle, zeroing in on Sherman. And the following:

Sherman: "What you gon' do, boy?"

Williams: "I'm gonna punch you in yo' (expletive) face."

Sherman: "Go on and do it then, boy."

Then comes the face shove. Sherman then backs off, laughing, as Robert Griffin III and London Fletcher step in to calm the waters.

"He punched me in my face!" Sherman yells. "Hey, come see us! Come see 'bout us!"

So there you have it. The tape also reveals Sherman's interaction with RG3, a more civil -- but puzzling -- affair.

RG3's fantasy draft value

The NFL.com fantasy staff debates Robert Griffin III's 2013 fantasy draft value coming off major knee surgery. More ...

"You've been having a hell of a year," Sherman says. "I've been proud of you since you spurned us. Hey, I didn't want to tell nobody what I told you. But I didn't want you to go down that path. I'm proud of you, boy."

The Washington Post tagged this as a reference to Griffin bypassing Stanford for Baylor, but that indicates he followed Sherman's advice on the matter. Yet another angle to one of the more unusual postgame hubbubs of recent days.
