Add Lovie Smith to the long list of names in consideration for the Philadelphia Eagles' vacant head-coaching position.
The Eagles have already interviewed Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. Other candidates who have yet to be interviewed include Smith, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden.
Smith has the best resume of any of those coaches. He took the Bears to three division titles, two NFC title games and one Super Bowl. He went 81-63 in his nine season, and is coming off a 10-6 campaign.
It will be a surprise if Smith doesn't come out of this month with a new job. Perhaps it will be in Philadelphia.
