Terrell Suggs, Dannell Ellerbe downplay their injuries

The Baltimore Ravens came out of Sunday's wild-card win over the Indianapolis Colts mostly injury-free.

NFL Replay will re-air the Baltimore Ravens' 24-9 victory over the Indianapolis Colts from Wild Card Weekend on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. ET.

Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports reported that Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs tweaked his surgically repaired right heel during the game, but the pain wasn't severe enough to pull him off the field.

"My Achilles started acting up, and it felt pretty bad, but I was like, '(Expletive) that,' " Suggs said after the win. "I wasn't going to let a repaired tendon steal our glory. We had work to do. We're trying to win a championship. And we had to make sure we did this for him."

"Him" meant Ray Lewis, the soon-to-be-retired All-Pro linebacker who now guides the Ravens into Denver to face a Broncos team that hasn't lost since Week 5.

Along with Suggs, linebacker Dannell Ellerbe suffered a sprained right ankle in the fourth quarter, but he downplayed the injury after the game.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. It's not that bad," Ellerbe told The Baltimore Sun. "At first, it was hurting. I walked it off."

Ellerbe has endured a string of injuries this season, including a broken and sprained thumb, a damaged left foot and Sunday's right ankle tweak. With the stakes against Denver sky high, we expect both defenders to be ready to go this weekend.
