Romo paved the way for the Redskins' first NFC East title since 1999 by tossing three soul-crushing interceptions in defeat. Meanwhile, RG3 strengthened his argument for NFL Rookie of the Year honors with another clutch show, but it's what the Redskins quarterback did away from the line of scrimmage that revealed his character.
"Hey, Tony. I just wanted to say to you don't listen to what anybody else is saying about you. You're a great quarterback, man. This game doesn't mean anything," Griffin is heard saying on the latest installment of Showtimes's "Inside the NFL."
Unless you've been locked inside a remote Russian fortress since Y2K, you're aware that Romo takes his fair share of abuse, no matter how he plays. RG3 hears what we hear.
Whether or not Romo was in the mood to take advice from a rookie is another discussion. It was a kind gesture. Besides, RG3 is no typical first-year pro. Nothing he does at this point should surprise us.
