Logan caught the ball cleanly, hesitated for a moment, then dropped to a knee for what he believed was a touchback. Unfortunately, Logan accidentally had just given himself up at the Lions' 4-yard line.
The field-position gaffe sealed Detroit's fate. Coach Jim Schwartz -- understandably flabbergasted -- was captured by ESPN cameras mouthing a particularly naughty expletive. Logan had made several mistakes as a returner for the Lions this season, but this was the final straw.
"I'm mad, but at the same time, there's nothing I could do about that," Logan said, via The Detroit News. "That's the coach's decision. I blame myself."
The video above has a high rewatchability factor. Logan's move is something you do in "Madden" when you want your offense to accumulate as much yardage as possible. Alas, this was no video game, leaving no reset button for Logan to press down upon with furious anger.
