Arian Foster back at Houston Texans practice, is fine

The Houston Texans have yet to seal up a playoff bye in the AFC and have no plans to rest their starters Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

That includes running back Arian Foster, who returned to practice Wednesday after leaving a Week 16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with an illness that later was determined to be an irregular heartbeat.

"Arian's fine,"Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the team's official website. "He's been cleared. Took all his normal reps he would take on a Wednesday."

The Texans were manhandled by the Vikings and can't pound away at teams with Foster on the bench. Ben Tate has been a reliable stand-in for Foster on occasion, but Houston already has too many replacements on the field heading into what should be a brutal AFC playoff derby.

Foster will be given more rest if the Texans take over the Colts early, but this remains a must-win game for Houston, and we expect the team's primary weapon to see a major workload.
