Sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. Even if you're Jerry Jones.
The New York Giants (7-5) had a chance to keep a couple of games distance on the rest of the NFC East with a win over the Redskins. Both Washington (6-6) and Dallas (6-6) needed Big Blue to come back to the pack.
"We couldn't believe Redskins was coming out of (our) mouths," Jones said during a KRLD interview reported by ESPNDallas.com's Calvin Watkins.
Jones is no dummy. Despite all of the drama surrounding the Cowboys, they're still smack-dab in the middle of the playoff race. They still have to face the Redskins in the season finale, while the Giants host the New Orleans Saints this week with road trips to the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens following. Jones might have stood up after triple-zeros were on the clock and shouted, "How bout dem Redskins?!" (Maybe that's just how I like to picture it.)
"That was a big win for them and us," Jones said, according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporter Clarence Hill.
