Darrelle Revis: New York Jets players 'need to shut up'

The New York Jets' comical season has come down to this. All the back and forth about quarterbacks and butt-fumbles was summed up by injured cornerback Darrelle Revis.

Brandt: Tebow not an NFL QB

Tim Tebow has talent, Gil Brandt says, but if he wants to stay in the NFL, he'll have to try a different position. **More ...**

"Guys just need to shut up," Revis told Newsday. "The situation we're in right now, it happens.

"Quit talking crazy to the media, especially involving your teammates. I think that's the worst, because when you do that, that's when it really gets divided. Because you don't know if you can trust your other teammate."

The Jets have had it all. Players criticizing Mark Sanchez. Players calling for Tim Tebow. Players defending Sanchez. And so on.

The Jets are 4-7 and all but officially out of the playoff race. The offense ranks No. 28, and players have varying opinions on how to fix it. Even Fireman Ed quit.

It's been that kind of year for the Jets.
