Nick Foles likely to start for Philadelphia Eagles

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson won't be back this season with the Philadelphia Eagles. It's remains unclear when -- and if -- Michael Vick will.

Andy Reid told reporters Tuesday that rookie quarterback Nick Foles is likely to make his third consecutive start Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles coach confirmed that Vick has yet to pass the fourth and final stage of the league's concussion protocol, but we're not sure Foles wouldn't get the start anyway.

Week 13 Waiver Wire

Michael Fabiano lists the top waiver wire targets for fantasy owners in Week 13. More ...

The rookie has guided this injury-ravaged team since Vick suffered the head injury in a Week 10 loss to Dallas. That Cowboys team might not recognize Philly's offense this time around.

Jackson is headed to injured reserve with fractured ribs, and running back LeSean McCoy remains stuck in Stage 1 of the post-concussion labyrinth after a hit to the head in Week 11. With so many familiar faces AWOL, Foles has struggled to move the ball.

Whatever the team learns about their young passer this year deserves to seen through the lens of Philly's season-long free fall into space.
